Hang You From The Heavens.

Oh Hai.
Well the latest is that I had an amazing shoot with Michael Cheung, and by amazing I mean we probably didn't get every single shot perfect, but he is really such fun to work with. More on that later, I can't wait to get the photos.

One thing: Florence is amazing. Also Danny but more Florence. :):) you're both lovelies.

Okayokay, the thing of the day is True Blood. I figure one of the best ways to enjoy this show is by doing a shot everytime Bill says "SOOKEHH".
Which he does.
Hoorah :)
"Sookie" "Sookie" "Sookie" "Sookie" "Sookie" "Sookie".

Now onto the person of the day Michael Cheung. (http://www.themichaelcheung.com/)
Heres some of his work, really inspired shots, IMHO.
I love this underwater one, I always look at it and forget to breathe. For some reason I'm underwater too :)
This model is called Elizabeth Berry. And shes SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL. It's actually insane. That sounds increasingly creepy, seeing as I've only worked with her once, in an AISHK Fashion Show. But seriously, look at the picture and then tell me I'm wrong. I'm not wrong :)
Okay, so I've been using this new site called "Model Mayhem" at length. TEST SHOOTS ARE COOL, TOO.

Some shoot ideas I've been dying to try.

1. Gothic.
2. Bride of Frankenstein (cuh-razy hair. kay?)
3. Wild make-up.

4. Paint.

5. Heavy eye shadow, Beauty shot.

6. Feathery eye make up? Also, I love the bottom picture, the colours especially.

7. More wild make-up.

8. Slightly less wild, more editorial make-up?

9. I LOVE THIS. Her make-up, her expression, intenseeeee.

10. Aboriginal prints.

Thats it for me, but tune in next time for more inane ramblings (you know you love it.)

Take the good with the bad.

Well seeing as this blog is a colossal waste of my study-leave,

I figured I may as well write more words into the void that is the internet.

So you non-existent readers can know me better :)

Things I like:
  • That bit in the book 'Submarine' by Joe Dunthorne, where the main guy says:
"I wanted to punch her in the ovaries"
Sometimes it's just appropriate to punch someone in the ovaries. I'm sure it's deserved.
  • When people do that snort when they are laughing too hard, and then stop.
  • Fuji apples.
  • The magazine NYLON. Music issue. June/July. Fuck yeeeeeeeeeeah.
  • Danny, and if you're reading this then shame on you, because my blog is totally lame
and slightly cringy :)
  • My boss, Melanie.
  • My vintage iPod, all beaten up and hardly working.
  • Watching movies.
  • Ed Westwick in Californication (and Gossip Girl, don't judge me)

Things I don't like:
  • Ants in my room, as they are right now.
  • Losing things.
  • When people cry in movies and you wonder what emotional part of you is missing that
you dont cry at the sad bit :/
  • Not feeling the need to study, when I need to study.
  • The fact that my parents got me a huge pack of batteries for my birthday because
"You keep asking us for batteries!". I never need batteries :(
  • The absence of WORLD PEACE
The good weighs out the bad, I suppose.

Love, Ellen.

Thing of the day.

Yeah, its the thing of the day, and the thing is:
the white ninja.
Yeah, its the thing of the day, and the thing is:
the white ninja.
Yeah, its the thing of the day, and the thing is:
the white ninja.
Yeah, its the thing of the day, and the thing is:
the white ninja.

It's often random, and sometimes not very funny.
But for some reason I can't stop clicking next.

It's very childlike, simple humour with a bite of cynicism.
Totally random, sometimes irrelevant.
The white ninja, go check it out :)

it's not the cough that carries you off, it's the coffin they carry you off in.

Well This Blog Post Honestly Hasn't A Thing To Do With Me.

When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad. I simply remember my favourite things and then I don't feel so bad.
First Batch: Ellen Von Unwerth

Yeah, this is Emma Watson ^ Just in case you were wondering :)

This one is called "The Sisters" It's one of my favourites.

These next few are by an incredible photographer called Antonella Arismendi.
I don't what it is about the photos, but they all seem so. Perfect.
